Day 57: Sunday, March 13, 2011

Crazy Sunday! Mom’s car stalled and died on the way to church. Helped Dad push it out of the way of four lanes of traffic, and luckily got it started again. Now we have no idea what’s wrong!

Good Sunday School and church service though.

We went to Al’s to have them look at it. After discovering the diagnostic tool outlet was in the center console, not under the dashboard like every other car (who knew?!), we got two codes. It could be the 02 sensor or some sort of vacuum leak. Regardless, it had a lot of trouble starting up. We got less than 100 feet from their house to leave and it died again. So it sat in their driveway charging the battery while we went back home!

Totally surprised Emily when she came over. I told her all about California and shared Robert Redford’s voice and pictures 🙂

Showered and got ready for our anniversary date! Emily got to meet Al (finally! She’s only been waiting since Christmas…)

We went out to P.F. Chang’s in VA Beach. Had to wait a while, but oh man the food was worth it! We shared shrimp dumplings, ginger chicken with broccoli, and sweet & sour chicken! Yum! And for dessert we had bites of each other’s mini-desserts: tiramisu and red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting! 🙂 ♥♥♥

We’d talked about going out to the boardwalk for a bit to walk around, but it was way too cold. Once I come home in May we’ll go! So we went back to the house and settled in to watch 1993’s Rookie of the Year. Nice feel-good movie, really funny.

Now it’s off to bed. Doing laundry and other stuff around the house for most of the day tomorrow!

All the best, Laura Beth 🙂
